How I Work

In coaching, we will always focus on what's most important to you, and find the most natural and effortless way to make the breakthroughs you want. We will quickly help you get clear on the best outcome for you, create a plan, develop priorities, and then begin to close the gap.

And along the way I would like to help you discover your unique gifts and talents; what you're most passionate about, what are the strengths that contribute the most to your success and what holds you back the most?

By stepping back long enough to answer some of these questions, we can better align your strengths and passions - to your career, vocation or business model - and help you get much better and more meaningful results. And that is what good coaching is all about.

One-on-One Coaching

Also known as personal coaching or life coaching. If you are in transition, feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or perhaps are just wondering how good life could be, this might be for you.

We start with a half-hour complimentary sample session, to make sure that this is the right fit. Once we do decide to work together, we will set up a Discovery Session where we establish where you are now and where you want to go, then we consciously design how we are going to work together.

From there we will meet regularly to celebrate your successes, overcome your doubts and fears, and look at what your next steps are. Most clients like to meet 2 times per month for 1 hour sessions. Some people prefer in-person appointments. Some want to do it over the phone or skype. Rates vary depending on the coaching time, and that will all be designed in advance. No surprises.

Relationship and Team Coaching

Whether you are a business partnership, a married couple, or a corporate team, this might be for you.

What makes this different than individual coaching, besides the fact that there is more than one of you, is that we do something a little unusual. We listen for and work with the ‘voice of the third entity.’ What’s that? Think of a relationship in your life, perhaps with your brother or a friend. When we coach a relationship, we are focusing on what your relationship wants and needs, not so much on what the individuals in the relationship want. The good news is that the individuals in the system are usually much more satisfied when the relationship itself has a voice.

Executive Coaching

Lots of people that call themselves executive coaches are actually business consultants or therapists that are now working inside corporations. If you need information, advice, or have a challenge in functioning, one of those directions would be great to go in.

But if you find yourself answering yes to any of these questions, career or executive coaching must be the ideal place to start

- at a crossroad, or believing that deeper and more meaningful success is possible in your life, career or business?
- wanting to grow your business, find your niche, leverage your strengths, delegate or be a more effective leader?
- struggling with stress and time management, or just longing for greater effectiveness, clarity, confidence, peace, balance or sense of purpose?
- not getting the results you want and looking for the best in professional support to get clear, get a plan, grow, move into action and make a genuine breakthrough?

I use Co-Active Coaching (see One-on-One Coaching) in my work with CEOs and other corporate honchos. Frequently, a CEO or VP does not really need more information or advice. What they often want is a sounding board; someone who opens up their perspectives and give them new ways to see a situation. That’s what I do. Help them in mastering the leadership, communication and emotional intelligence competencies, have a greater impact in their organizations, move past blind spots, learn how to develop and communicate a compelling vision for themselves and their organizations and thrive in change or transition.
